2011 Scholarship Recipients at the Reception

One Online Application, Many Opportunities

"Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I will be the first person in my family to go to college, and your support means more
than words can say. Without members of the community like you, students like me would not dare to dream."

- Hannah Truong, 2013 Scholarship Recipient and National Volunteer Student of the Year.

We are excited to offer students an online scholarship application. Students who fill out one application on our website are eligible for the Whatcom Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Round as well as other scholarships that are available nationally through our partnership with Scholarship America. Eligibility is based on information the students provide on their comprehensive application.

Are you a freshman, sophmore or junior in high school? Begin filling out your student profile now! You can update your profile anytime over the next few years and be ahead of the game by the time you are ready to apply for scholarships as a senior.

Their team analyzed government-collected data on the 5,000+ colleges and universities in the US to find the ones that are both financially accessible for low-income students and have a track record of positive student outcomes. Their methodology is based on the idea that paying income-appropriate tuition, completing one's studies, and being able to pay back one's loans are the key elements of a worthwhile college experience.
